Welcome Aboard Josh
We have added a fourth member to help us out with Programming, Animation and Sprite Design
Post Mortem
Post Mortem
Process: The original process for The Emancipator was Matt would do the programming, Joe would do the all the art and Lance would animate and polish the game. This process would later change due to problems with curtain programs. After those problems occurred Matt would be Interface Designer and ultimately polish the game and level, Joe would keep his art position and Lance would be the lead programmer and animator.
What Went Wrong: Very few things for this project went wrong, the only problem that Team Proclamation had was delays with Matt's programming, since he tried to do it from scratch on short notice it would put the team behind a bit, this problem was easily solved when Lance whipped up some programming and saved the team. Also problems were had with Lincoln's jump animation, with two days of work and with the help from the instructor Alex the team was able to get back on track with the animation.
What Went Right: A lot of things went right here, Joe's artwork was flawless and flowed together perfectly with the scenery. It was perfect coordination by Team Proclamation that really made everything fall into place. What also went right was Proclamation's ability to debug the game. Since the idea of the game wasn't too ambitious the game was a lot kinder in the debugging stage.
Lessons Learned: The only real lesson that was learned is plan ahead in the programming stages and spend more time making sprites from 8bit to 16bit and also to update the blog more often than we did.

Good job Josh and Team Robot
You had me worried for a little while, but the rough build of your game was good.
The Story...
So it's clear that the player plays as Abraham Lincoln and that there's something involving Nazis. So let me regale you with a tale of epic proportions, which is also 100% true!
In the somewhat distant future (try 20XX) an evil neo-Nazi/KKK occult decide to ressurrect the greatest villain the world has ever known, Adolf Hitler. Once he was summoned, his castle rose out of the ground covering all of the southern continental United States. To combat this issue the United States government had resurrected several Presidents to combat him. The last known people to enter this dark castle was ex-President George W. Bush. No one has heard from him since then. Now the U.S. government tasks Nixon with finding the greatest warrior to combat Hitler.
That warrior is none other than Abraham Lincoln, the greatest president ever. Now Lincoln must infiltrate Hitler's castle, and defeat his minions including Auschwitz Man, Himmler, Dr. Mengele, Dick Cheney, George W. Bush, and eventually Hitler.
Will Hitler complete his evil plans? Will Abraham be able infiltrate the castle? More importantly, will Lincoln be able to defeat Hitler and end his evil rein? Find out in The Emancipator! He WILL proclemate you!

Competitors: Team CATS
So our first competitor is presenting their game in which the player plays a shaman that must save a bunch of spirits, which then enables the player to gain access to one of four different elemental abilities to bypass one of several elemental traps. Apparently the game takes place in a spiritual world. However one thing that seems odd is that they only have place holder art for one of their characters. What do you think about their game?
Presentation
So we just finished our first presentation of our game. The presentation went smoothly and it seemed that our audience may have enjoyed it, considering it was the first one completed and presented. I'd like my teammates to join me in a discussion in the comments on what they feel went well, what we should change, what we should add and all that fun stuff, which may appear in a future post!

Since none of us has done this yet
Hey everyone this is the lead artist Joe here, saying our rough build and first level is done. We will have more on the game once one of the programmers wants to upload some form of the game.
